The Race

Discover the timeless charm of the Costa Smeralda Historic International Rally – Martini Trophy! Take a journey back in time for three thrilling days in Porto Cervo and across the special stages of Gallura, where racing legends and iconic cars come together once again. A unique event organized by the Automobile Club Sassari, under the patronage of ACI and with the support of Sardinia, to relive the golden years of rallying in one of the most exclusive locations in the world.

Rally

Licenses and Documents Required to Foreign Competitors

Rally:
– Own National License + ASN Authorization (not needed for International License holders)
– ⁠FIA HTP

Regularity Rally 60 (Sporting Regularity):
– Same Licenses as Rally
⁠- Helmet and overalls, also expired ones
⁠- 2 kg extinguisher
⁠- 4 points harness
⁠- roll cage fitting suggested

Regularity Rally 50 (Historic Regularity):
– If no rally license, the Organiser can assist in the issuing of temporary Italian license (basic sporting medical checks to be performed at home so that medical certificate can be sent in advance to the issuing office)
⁠- suggested helmet, mandatory for cars with roll cage fitted
– ⁠2 kg extinguisher

For both regularity rallies it would be ideal to have FIA HTP. As an alternative, the Organiser can assist in advance with the issuing of a National Regularity HTP

Where rally history was born

Rally Costa Smeralda has been a cornerstone in the international rally landscape.

Strongly desired by Prince Karim Aga Khan and by the then President of ACI Sassari, Marquis Don Franco di Suni, as a promotional event for the Costa Smeralda, the rally embodied charm, beauty, class, elegance, and glamour — all distinctive traits through which organizers, drivers, enthusiasts, and sponsors recognized the true value and importance of the competition.

The Costa Smeralda Historic International Rally is designed to be attractive not only for its motorsport, technical, and sporting aspects, but also for its stunning geographical setting and unmistakable appeal.

Porto Cervo, the Costa Smeralda, and Sardinia need no introduction: the rally takes place in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.
