Automobile Club Sassari will also be present at the 2026 edition of the Vicenza exhibition dedicated to motorsport for the preview of the historic rally, which from this year is also valid for the European Championship. Appointment for Saturday, February 7th, and Sunday, February 8th.

Porto Cervo, January 27, 2026 – There are just under three months left until April 24th and 25th, the dates on which the ninth edition of the Rally Storico Costa Smeralda will be run, serving as the second round in the calendar of the FIA European Championship (pre-’92), as well as the Italian Historic Rally Championship. To provide maximum visibility to the event and activate direct contact with the organizer as in previous years, Automobile Club Sassari will be present at Racing Meeting, the exhibition dedicated to motorsport organized by Miki Biasion. Hosting the event on Saturday, February 7th, and Sunday, February 8th, will be Pavilion number 7 of the Fiera di Vicenza, located near the Vicenza West motorway exit.

At the ACI Sassari stand, it will therefore be possible to obtain information and details regarding the event which, in addition to the historic car rally, includes the one dedicated to classic cars and the historic regularity rally; all will hold Italian Championship titles. Added to this is the important and prestigious news of the inclusion of the Rally Storico Costa Smeralda in the brand-new calendar of the FIA Historic European Rally Championship, for cars built up to and including 1992. Thus, the technical and appreciated special stages of northeastern Sardinia will be the theater of multiple challenges; animating these, alongside the established protagonists of the Italian Championship, will be the leading actors of the European Championship. No less prestigious is the confirmation of validity for the A112 Abarth Trophy, and from this year, the Rally Storico Costa Smeralda is included in the Memory Fornaca calendar. Following the cars competing in the rally will be the vehicles of the “average speed” race of the historic regularity rally, with the two categories “50” and “60” inaugurating the 2026 edition of the Italian Championship for this specialty.

Confirmed among those present in Vicenza during the two days of the show, AC Sassari President Giulio Pes di San Vittorio renews his deep and heartfelt thanks to the institutions – from the Region of Sardinia to the administrations of Olbia and Arzachena and all the municipalities involved – extending it to the consolidated partners and pillars of the event such as Smeralda Holding, Sparco, Martini, Cerasarda, Pirelli, Testoni Bunker Point, Sardares, Cantine Surrau, and the event’s new Mobility Partner, Autoplus Group.
